Banner Project 2024

The Campbell River Arts Council hosts an annual Banner project and this is my first year participating. The CR Arts Council provides the banner and paints to any local artist wanting to participate. The years theme is Campbell River loves Nature!

The fabric was a thin, transparent tent or hammock material so I had to start with painting both sides fully with white paint.

I did a reverse painting of tree branches and then allowed it to grow and evolve. For me, I love nature because of the diversity and community that is cultivated through symbiotic relationships.
